rat said to me when I walked in: Free at last! Free at last! Thank the Lord! Free at last!
Sensei was just a little surprised to see me tonight, saying Continuing Ed students did not need to take the final. My brain went: What? WHAT???? You mean I went through this stress and I didn't need to do so? Immediately I settled down and knew I really DID need to take the final, for my own good. I needed to see what I have retained this semester.
Thankfully, the particle sentences were the easier sentences, as was the eigo to nihongo translations. And the sentences where we had to provide both the masu and n+desu forms of the verbs were ones I actually remembered, even when in past tense.
Sensei was nice to us. Words we did not know/remember she told us to write in English. I did fumble some of the translations but I think I put the words in the right places, even if I used English.
One thing I did screw up was using (w)o instead of ni with the motion verb 'to return'.
I got an A+ on my oral quiz (sensei graded them while we took the final) and it looks like I got some of the particle section right from her grading it in front of me at one point while I was talking to her. She said she wanted to give it back to me so I could study from it but she could not complete it before I left. I told her to just mail it to me intercampus, since I DID work on campus too.
At one point while I was noshing on a rice ball one of the students had brought in for everyone (yum! I want to learn how to make them!), sensei came over and was talking to me about seeing my first semester sensei (Maurice) and how they talked about how hard I study even though I was Continuing Ed. They probably talked about my acute test anxiety as well.
Anyway, I probably passed by the skin of my teeth.
Owari desu yo!
So now, the very first item on my list is to betaread the first chapter of Talon's new story. I promised you, sweetie, and I have already started!
And I will be getting back to all things Gravitation as well!
FYI: Before I left for the final tonight I watched ep 13 of Gravitation.
Thanks: --> to Lia, my sensei, who has inspired me to draw again. I
wouldn't be doing this without your support, Domo Arigato!
--> to Talon, for sending me her fabulous fics, inspiring me with her writing to draw my first
illustration for a story and actually liking what I drew.
--> to Dasia, for her words of encouragement when drawing her original chara.
--> to Joules, a wonderful epic fic writer, for liking my art enough to want to post them with Talon's
and her own stories.
--> to Lutra, the other half of the epic team, for being so supportive.
--> to Jacque' & Becca Raddittzu, we met on eBay as bidder and sellers and now we are face-to-face
friends. You showed us the real DBZ with your fansubs. It's all your fault the house is full of
doujinshi! *LOL*
